Oval Silk Empire Lampshades – Coffee Imported Linen

The Oval Silk Empire lampshade is a closed circular form in which the width of the lampshade is greater than the depth of the lampshade. Like the traditional Silk Empire Lampshade the opening at the top of the Silk Oval Empire Lampshade is about 1/2 the size of the opening at the bottom of the lampshade. The top and the bottom of the lampshade are joined by a gentle straight line – consistent with the Silk Empire shape. The Oval Silk Empire lampshade also offers another design possibility – and that is side pleating at each “end” of the lampshade, or, pleats covering the entirety of the lampshade. The pleating gives the Oval Silk Empire a more formal presentation, perfect for an oval shaped base in a more formal and / or traditional decor. The Oval Silk Empire Lampshade may also be a great solution for a lamp set in a tight space – for example on a buffet or a dresser.
