Currey Striae Table Lamp

The Striae Table Lamp was created during a meticulous two-step glassmaking process in which evenly spaced ochre glass rods are fused onto a white milk-glass body to create a striated pattern. The flared empire shade echoes the lamp’s pale tones while the antique brass base and finial draw out the rich ochres. The design, which was inspired by an Italian fixture, is very difficult to achieve with such uniformity.
