Coolie Silk Bell Lampshades – Pink Fine Butcher Linen

The Coolie Silk Bell lampshade is a variation of the traditional Silk Bell lampshade. The Coolie Silk Bell lampshade has a smaller opening – diamter – at the top of the lampshade, and is shorter than, the traditional Silk Bell lampshade. The combination of a smaller opening at the top, and a shorter length results in a more dramatic flare or fan from the top to the bottom of the lampshade on the Coolie Silk Bell lampshade. Although often considered an “old” style lampshade – much like the traditional Silk Bell lampshade, the Coolie Silk Bell lampshade continues to be used today on a wide variety of portable lamps including table, accent, buffet and floor lamps. The Coolie Silk Bell lampshade is available in a wide range of fabrics, including very fine silk fabrics. We have often used the Coolie Silk Bell lampshade on fine Asian ceramic table lamps, particularly Canton Jar or Melon Jar table lamps.
